• The style I want is out of stock for my size - will you be able to restock? 

What styles our artisans produce will depend on trend and demand.  The styles where we have marked as:

"Staple" are the more in-demand classic styles and we are able to request the artisans to reproduce - so click on NOTIFY ME and put your details in so you will be informed once the style is back in stock! 

 "Seasonal" are just that, seasonal, limited production, limited inventory available.  There is no option to waitlist for "seasonal" styles unfortunately.

 

 

• Why do I not need to pay taxes on my purchase?

We do not charge you taxes because we are not required to pay taxes to your country therefore we ship Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU).  And often your package will not be taxed as it may qualify for de minimis exemption.  What this means for you is you are not paying pre-emptive taxes on a purchase.  We believe that it is a much more transparent process to you as a customer that you pay your own taxes (only) when asked by your own local authorities (rather than a merchant collecting tax from you when you're eligible for de minimis).  

However, it is important to also note that unpaid fees may delay or result in a return of your package.  If the package is:

• • returned to us due to unpaid fees / taxes / duties, the refund amount issued will be the order amount minus original shipping costs, return fees, and admin costs. 

• • not returned to us, no refund will be issued.  

Serres L'archive reserve full rights in determining final refund amount. 

 

 

• What does "handcrafted" actually mean? And if Serres L'archive's press-ons are handcrafted, what are the other brands selling?  

Handcrafted press-ons: each nail is painted, layered, and finished by an artist’s hands—unique textures, precise gradients, no two sets identical. Each layer of gel is applied in thin, controlled coats; details like embellishments or 3D elements are placed individually. Bespoke. Curated. Designer. 

Other brands are selling machine-produced: molds stamp identical blanks in bulk, automated sprayers coat uniform layers, conveyor belts cure under factory UV. Zero variation, but often thicker, heavier, with chemical shortcuts for speed. Usually sold in packs of 24-30 pieces. Off the rack. Mass produced. 

Handmade = designer and soul in every piece. Machine = mass produced, fast, cheap replication.

 

 

• Why do you not ship to United States of America? 

We want to ship to United State of America because we love our American customers!  However, due to the current Tariff War, postage costs to United States have increased up to 5x for small packages and are at risk of encountering customs clearance issues.  As we do not intend for our customers to have a negative shopping experience, we are unable to directly send to United States in America.  However, if you have a forwarding address in Asia, we are more than happy to send to the forwarder and you can relay the package to United States of America.  Contact us if you would like to explore this possibility.  

 

 

• Why do you not accept exchanges or returns?

As we have the utmost concern for your (cuticle) health, we cannot risk our customers being subject to transferable bacterial, viral, and fungal.  Hence, due to hygiene concerns we only sell new (unworn) press-ons.  We are not able to provide exchanges or refunds for change of mind or if you wish to request a different style/size. 

We encourage you to review your order carefully prior to making the purchase.

 

 

• What ingredients does your nail glue and (removal) solution consist of? Is it non toxic?

The glue and (removal) solution are non-toxic, all ingredients are cosmetic-grade, safe, and complies to the European Union regulations. 

Glue Ingredients:

  • Poly(methyl methacrylate) 

Removal Solution Ingredients:

• • Ethyl Acetate 
  • Butyl Acetate 
  • Glycerine (Glycerol)
